Welcome to Memory Lodge

The members of Memory Lodge, No. 4264, bid you a cordial welcome to this our website which we hope you will find both interesting and informative, whether or not you are a Freemason. Memory Lodge is a very friendly lodge which meets every month at Farfield Masonic Hall, situated in Connah's Quay, North Wales. The Lodge holds its meetings every 3rd Wednesday, September to April with a new Master being Installed at the September meeting. Lodge Banner

To become a Freemason a man has to apply to join a Lodge and convince the members that he is of good repute, a believer in the God of his religion and prepared to be generous in charitable giving. We welcome men of any race, colour or religion. Our aim is to make good men better by being reminded of their duty to society, law abiding and conscious of the needs of those less fortunate, both masons and non-masons alike.

Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it’s about making new friends and acquaintances. For others it’s about being able to help deserving causes – making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is an enjoyable hobby. Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. Members are expected to be of high moral standing and are encouraged to speak openly about Freemasonry.

Organists' JewelFreemasonry is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values. Its members are taught its principles (moral lessons and self-knowledge) by a series of ritual dramas – a progression of allegorical two-part plays which are learnt by heart and performed within each Lodge – which follow ancient forms, and use stonemasons’ customs and tools as allegorical guides.

Freemasonry instils in its members a moral and ethical approach to life: its values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount but, importantly, Freemasonry also teaches concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.

We hope that the information contained in this website, linked with that of the Province of North Wales website or United Grand Lodge of England website, is useful in helping you understand what we are about and helps to dismiss any myths which may have arisen.

If you have come to our site looking for a place to make new friends, you will not find a happier home to join than Memory Lodge: a Lodge dedicated to ‘making good men better‘; a Lodge committed to Freemasonry of the highest standard and in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you are an existing mason, or if you are interested in joining us, we very much look forward to hearing from you.

Please do take the time to browse our website and if you wish to obtain further information or if you have any queries about either Freemasonry in general or the Memory Lodge in particular, please contact our Lodge Secretary by clicking on "How to join Memory Lodge".
